Character of the workshop

The workshop will be attended by Czech and foreign experts, representatives of government, organizations and business entities interested in the issues surrounding the transition to digital broadcasting and the future use of the radio spectrum. Organized by CTO in cooperation with DaDa, a.s., the workshop presents a platform for meetings between experts and professionals from the field of electronic communications and the media sector. It aims to provide current information on the ongoing process of digitization and to create room for discussion on the future utilization of the 470-862 MHz band, which should result in high socio-economic benefits. This event follows up on the first round of public consultations and the workshop held in September 2008.

Basic structure of the program

The workshop is a two-day event taking place in Prague. The focus of the first day of the workshop is threefold: the process of the transition to digital broadcasting, the current status of the transition and the future of the digitization process in accordance with the Technical Transition Plan.

The second day of meetings will focus mainly on the means and terms of implementing advanced technologies that should bring new quality to television broadcasting and mobile communication networks.

Language

The workshop will be conducted in Czech and English. Simultaneous interpreting will be provided throughout the program.
